Influx Life is a small habit tracker run by one person for themselves and a handful of friends and family. It is not a company product, it shows no ads, and nothing in it is sold or shared for marketing. You can only use it with an invite.
What is stored
- Your account: username, display name, a hashed password (never the password itself), timezone and reminder hours.
- What you log: habits, whether you did them, day ratings, notes, journal entries, goals and screen-time totals you upload.
- Health data, only if you connect it: daily summaries from Garmin Connect or Oura — sleep, heart rate, HRV, stress, body battery, readiness, steps — one row per day.
- Connection tokens: the session or OAuth token that lets Influx Life fetch your Garmin or Oura data, and your Influx Life API tokens (stored hashed).
If you connect Garmin by typing your Garmin email and password, the password is held only until the login finishes and is then blanked; what is kept is the session Garmin issues.
The watch app
The Influx Life app for Garmin watches sends the habits you tap and the rating you pick to this server, through the Garmin Connect app on your phone, using the token you paste into its settings. It reads nothing else from the watch: no location, no heart rate, no activities. If your phone is out of reach it keeps the day on the watch and sends it later.
Who can see it
- Other people using Influx Life cannot see anything of yours; every query is scoped to the signed-in account.
- The person who runs this Influx Life administers the server and database and could technically read them. They do not browse other people's data.
- Services that make it work: Render (hosting), Neon (database), Garmin and Oura (only if you connect them), Google (only if you connect your calendar — read-only; event titles and times for the week you are planning are stored as planner blocks), and ntfy.sh, which carries reminder notifications to your phone — the text of a reminder passes through it.
- An AI provider — Anthropic, Google (Gemini) or Groq, whichever the server is set up with — only if you turn the planner assistant on (Setup → Account, off by default; the Account card names the one in use): when you press "Plan with me", your goals, to-dos, habits, this week's plan and today's recovery state are sent to that provider's API to write the proposal. Your journal is never sent. Turning it off clears the conversation.
Your control
- Export: Setup → Account → Export my data (CSV).
- Delete: Setup → Account → Delete my account removes every row that is yours and the account itself. There is no undo.
- Disconnect: removing a Garmin or Oura connection on Setup deletes its stored token and stops new syncs; days already stored stay until you delete them with your account. Revoking an API token stops the watch app at once.
Questions: ask the person who invited you.
